European Labour Authority, ELA, launches today an information and awareness raising campaign #Road2FairTransport, which will run intensively in the following weeks and continue until the end of the year in all EU Member States and in multiple languages.

Registration open to attend the conference organized by ELA at its Headquarters in Bratislava (SK) and online on the 4th of November 2022.

The EU Talent Pool Pilot Initiative is an online job-searching tool in the EURES portal for people fleeing the war in Ukraine, looking for work in the EU and benefiting from temporary protection. Through the Talent Pool Pilot, they can access over 3 million job vacancies and 4,000 potential employers.

The workshop organised by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the European Labour Authority (ELA) resulted in recommendations to EU and other European countries, including Ukraine and Moldova, on how to respond to the risks of trafficking in human beings, forced labour and undeclared work of the persons fleeing the war in Ukraine.

Two ELA national events took place on September 14 - Helsinki (FI) and September 16 - Stockholm (SE), to enhance the cooperation and strengthen the network between ELA, Member States and National Local Authorities.

Mr. Marius-Constantin Budăi, the Romanian Minister of Labour and Social Solidarity, met the Executive Director of ELA, Mr. Cosmin Boiangiu today in Bratislava, Slovakia. They opened ELA event with the network of Labour and Social Attaché working at Romanian Embassies in EU Member States. The aim of the event was to strengthen cooperation in promoting fair labour mobility.

10 Member States with 60 experts come together in the first edition. Venice, Sofia, Bratislava will host the events.

In the European Year of Youth, five EU Agencies, Cedefop, Eurofound, ELA, EU-OSHA and ETF are together to organise an event with the EMPL Committee of the European Parliament to share their insights and explore the challenges and opportunities for young people in times of uncertainty.

Two information leaflets for drivers and operators in the road transport sector are now available in multilingual versions.

As a part of ELA’s activities focused on the displaced persons coming from Ukraine, the European Labour Authority (ELA) has completed a mapping exercise on the measures taken by the EU and EFTA (European Free Trade Association) Member States in the area of employment and social security for displaced persons from Ukraine.

10 cross-border inspections and 15 Member States were involved in a joint initiative coordinated and supported by ELA in the construction sector.

ELA's mediation service has been successfully used by two Member States, Cyprus and Germany. The mediation succeeded toresolve a long-standing dispute in the field of social security coordination between the two countries.
