The European Labour Authority (ELA) and the European Commission organised an online training session dedicated to the road transport sector on Monday 14 November 2022 to support socially responsible, fairer, and more efficient road transport practices in the EU. The training focused on promoting the new rules and obligations introduced by the Mobility Package I in relation to return of the vehicle, regular weekly rest outside of the cabin and classification of infringements.

ela ilo workshop

The workshop organised by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the European Labour Authority (ELA) resulted in  recommendations to EU and other European countries, including Ukraine and Moldova, on how to respond to the risks of trafficking in human beings, forced labour and undeclared work of the persons fleeing the war in Ukraine.

EMPACT meeting in Paris 20 and 21 April

The Meeting offered an opportunity to share and discuss analytical approaches and modi operandi for tackling labour exploitation and trafficking of human beings. The Meeting  was organized by the European Labour Authority (ELA) in cooperation with the Netherlands’ Labour Authority and France’s Gendarmerie Nationale and was attended by representatives from labour inspectorates and law enforcement authorities from EU Member States.
