Workshop on complex cases and enforcement challenges in relation to EU labour mobility and social security rules

This is the second workshop as part of the broader multi-year ELA project aimed at identifying concrete challenges and legally complex situations in applying and enforcing EU rules within ELA’s mandate and to analyse and discuss them with ELA’s stakeholders. 

It contributes to the analytical work carried out by ELA, to identify challenges that could be addressed in the future in cooperation with Member States and the European Commission, to build capacity and knowledge for addressing complex enforcement situations, as well as to strengthen cooperation with the Member State enforcement authorities.

The main objective of the workshop is to discuss and analyse complex cross-border cases with experts from EU labour inspectorates and national social security and other authorities.
The workshop will focus on cases identified for closer analysis by both ELA and participating EU Member States and EEA authorities that illustrate complex situations where EU rules are difficult to enforce in practice.
