Description
The Peer Learning Dialogue (PLD) on effective design of subcontracting liability rules and their implementation brings together national experts from EU and EEA countries (Belgium, Cyprus, Czechia, Finland, France, Italy, Norway, Portugal and Spain) to explore and compare national frameworks on subcontracting liability.
Organised within the framework of the POSTING 360 Programme, this initiative is organised in collaboration with the European Commission.
The meeting is facilitated by thematic expert Prof. Yves Jorens, ELA and the European Commission, and aims to foster peer learning and cross-border cooperation in the context of the Posting of Workers Directive.
The PLD is structured to support both immediate learning and long-term policy development across participating Member States. It is a platform for national experts to explore and discuss subcontracting liability frameworks with peers. It will enable to exchange about (1) the effective design of liability rules and related best practices, (2) identifying issues that experts have encountered regarding the rules, which considerations have been made when designing these rules and how such issues have been addressed, and (3) how to address challenges, in particular in relation to cross-border issues.
