Mutual Assistance Project (MAP) in Cyprus

Labour inspectors and social partners from Greece, Belgium, Lithuania, and Finland, alongside representatives of the Cypriot Centralised Labour Inspectorate and Cypriot trade unions and employers’ associations, convened for the Mutual Assistance Project (MAP) in Nicosia, Cyprus. 

Facilitated by the European Labour Authority (ELA), the MAP focused on identifying solutions meant to enhance the capabilities of the Centralised Cypriot Labour Inspectorate in identifying and tackling undeclared work, such as a possible implementation of social/labour ID cards in the construction sector. The participants took part in a joint inspection in the construction sector which was also supported by ELA.
