Description
On 16 June, the European Labour Authority, at the initiative of the International Road Transport Union (IRU) and in cooperation with DG EMPL and DG MOVE of the European Commission, finalises a series of three workshops dedicated to the enforcement of remuneration for posted drivers in the road transport sector.
The final workshop convenes key stakeholders to address the challenges associated with verifying the documentation related to the working time of the driver (timesheets and tachographs as a possible alternative) and documentation related to the remuneration (employment contract, payslip and proof of payment). The primary goal of the last session is to identify and analyse the specific challenges in calculating remuneration and to foster a shared understanding of the documentation required for effective enforcement across Member States.
Participants engage in a discussion to address the practical challenges when it comes to the calculation of the remuneration and proving the elements of remuneration. The workshop also explores softwares that support the preparation of an overview of working time of the driver and accurate calculation and verification of remuneration.
The workshop is complemented by presentations of the EC (DG EMPL), IRU, ETF and Member States (France, Belgium, and Latvia).
