Description

The French Construction Industry Leave and Adverse Weather Funds (CIBTP) in cooperation with the European Labour Authority (ELA) organises a one-day on site seminar to bring together around 130 representatives of holiday and bad weather funds from across Europe. The aim is to take stock of the current state of play of holiday funds, dive into latest trends, and exchange on national and European projects.

The main objectives of this Convention are:

  • Bring together, for a day, all European stakeholders interested in or working on paid leave, unemployment due to bad weather and in favour of healthy and fair competition in the construction sector, around interventions and friendly moments so that everyone can build relationships by meeting physically and consider future cooperation
  • Share information and exchange good practices (innovation) between different European countries (counterparts, companies, national authorities, etc.) for the benefit of construction companies and employees.
  • Provide education regarding the rights and duties of companies and employees coming to work in a country which is not the company's original establishment.
  • Renew the signing of conventions (conclusion of amendments) already existing between France and Germany (bilateral exemption of contributions for posted workers).
  • Launch a dynamic for the future by creating a European convention which will meet every 3 years in a different country to explore common issues and try to provide pragmatic solutions.
  • Establish links and update the mapping of European contacts to streamline exchanges.
  • Resolve occasional problems of companies and employees thanks to knowing the right people to contact.
  • Promote a global dynamic of mutual aid and cooperation.
