Annual workshop on mediation

On 29 October 2025, the Annual Workshop on Mediation takes place in Bratislava, bringing together the newly appointed mediators and Mediation Board experts, ELA experts, and distinguished guests for a day of learning and collaboration.

The morning begins with a strategic update on ELA’s mediation work, followed by presentations of European Commission’s representatives on the latest Commission report on the ELA evaluation, with a focus on the Mediation task evaluation and the collaborative efforts between SOLVIT and ELA with regard to referrals of unresolved cases for mediation. In the afternoon, the ILO’s approach to labour dispute prevention and resolution is presented .

Throughout the day, participants discuss best practices, exchange ideas, and strengthen cooperation among European institutions—all with the aim of building a more effective EU system for cross-border labour dispute resolution.
