Annual meeting of ELA National Translation Coordinators

The meeting covers ELA’s operational cooperation in 2025 with the national translation coordinators under the Translation Facility for Information. The meeting’s purpose is to discuss the support offered to the Member States and to ensure a smooth and effective implementation of the Translation Facility in 2025. The meeting will also focus on new language services to improve access to information. ELA’s sister EU agency, the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union, will be represented in the meeting as the provider of the translation and language services.

Since 2020, ELA offers direct support to Member States for translation of institutional website content and other national official communication materials. This aims to facilitate access to information of citizens and employers to their rights and obligations when moving or operating across Europe.

Each Member State appoints a national translation coordinator in charge of coordinating the submission of translations with their national administration. The Translation Facility for Information is one of the oldest and tangible forms of support offered to the Member States in facilitating access to information on labour mobility and social security coordination aspects.
