Cooperation support meeting Hungary–Slovakia

A bilateral meeting has been scheduled at the request of the Slovak Social Insurance Agency, bringing together Slovak and Hungarian representatives from the respective Social Insurance Agencies, delegates from the Ministry of Interior responsible for social security system coordination, as well as officials from the National Insurance Fund. 

The meeting is attended by:

• 6 representatives of the Slovak Social Insurance Agency
• 3 delegates from the Hungarian Ministry of Interior responsible for social security system coordination
• 5 representatives of the Hungarian National Health Insurance Fund (NEAK)
• 2 National Liaison Officers (NLOs)

Through open and constructive dialogue, the meeting provides a platform to discuss operational challenges, exchange best practices, and explore opportunities for closer alignment in certain areas of social security coordination. 

The main objectives include: 

• Determining the applicable legislation for individuals in line with EU coordination regulations
• Deepening collaboration during external audits and proposing practical solutions
• Strengthening data exchange through the EESSI platform
• Designating contact persons for both areas to ensure smoother cooperation

This meeting is an important step towards ensuring more effective service delivery and strengthening cross-border relations in the field of social security protection between Hungary and Slovakia.
