The European Labour Authority has for the first time supported a joint inspection between two member states aiming to properly enforce rights of EU mobile workers. The Authority started preparations for cross-border inspections since its establishment. This week was then the first time a joint inspection facilitated by the Authority actually took place in France with participation of Bulgarian labour inspectors. The joint inspection aimed to tackle recurring serious violations of labour and social rights of seasonal workers in the agricultural sector.

EURES Italy launches informative videos on seasonal work

During the EU Week for Seasonal Workers (20−24 September), EURES Italy will promote 10 short videos with useful facts and tips for both jobseekers and employers interested in seasonal work. The videos are part of EURES Italy’s involvement in the European Labour Authority’s campaign “Rights for all seasons”.

EURES Slovenia and EURES Croatia to exchange good practices on seasonal work

During the EU Week for Seasonal Workers (20−24 September), EURES Slovenia and EURES Croatia will organise a cross-border conference to discuss the legal aspects of seasonal work in both countries and to exchange good practices. The event is part of the European Labour Authority’s campaign “Rights for all seasons”.

In Finland Work may be seasonal, but workers' rights are not

The Ministry of Employment and the Economy of Finland has joined the European Labour Authority's (ELA) #Rights4AllSeasons campaign to remind seasonal workers of their rights, support employers in meeting their obligations and work to secure fair working conditions across the EU.
