Today, the Commission adopted a report on Member States’ cooperation in tackling undeclared work, evaluating the efforts of the European Platform tackling Undeclared Work.

The European Labour Authority (ELA) aim is to ensure that EU rules on labour mobility and social security coordination are enforced in a fair, simple and effective way and to make it easier for citizens and businesses to reap the benefits of the internal market.

Tom Bevers, Member from Belgium, and Agnieszka Wołoszyn from Poland have been elected as Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson respectively of the Management Board of the European Labour Authority.

The European Labour Authority starts its activities today with an inaugural ceremony and the first meeting of its Management Board.
