Description
ELA is organising national event in Spain in a form of a multinational workshop involving four Member States: Spain, Italy, France and Portugal, further fostering their collaboration. The goal of this cooperation is to strengthen multi-national cooperation combating fraudulent practices, building capacities at national level, exchanging information and good practices with a very operational approach.
Main objectives of the event are:
- To assess the priorities and activities implemented by the Member States in 2024;
- To exchange of information and experiences among participants regarding common issues, challenges and needs in labour mobility;
- To define and agree on a programme of actions to be implemented in 2025, aligned with ELA’s multi-annual programme;
- To discuss strategies on ELA’s support in the cooperation process.
Bottom-up multilateral cooperation process between ministries, labour inspectorates and social security authorities from four EU Member States was launched in 2022. The four Member States decided to launch this initiative due to their shared labour mobility issues and the long tradition of cooperation on a bilateral basis when it comes to tackling cross-border mobility. This multilateral cooperation process led to Member States to agree on an annual programme of action containing multilateral and bilateral operational actions, failing in the remit of ELA’s multi-annual programme of activities.
