Description
The European Labour Authority (ELA) launches its first social security training for EU and EEA Member States as part of its capacity building efforts. This initiative aligns with ELA’s social security information campaign, which aims to raise awareness of rights across the EU, and contributes to the goal of the PROGRESS programme by increasing knowledge among practitioners and officials on social security coordination and implementing SSC rules.
The advanced training for social security experts takes place at ELA premises, on 15-16 October. The training supports the implementation of ELA’s capacity-building strategy and ongoing initiatives to promote networking, enhance mutual learning, and facilitate understanding of EU social security coordination regulations. It will convene senior officials specializing in the determination of the applicable legislation, providing them with an opportunity to gain insights into recent developments in the field, and engage in discussions on emerging trends and common challenges with their counterparts from other EU and EEA Member States.
