Description
Jointly organised by the European Labour Authority (ELA) and the Icelandic Administration of Occupational Safety and Health.
With Iceland recently joining the European Labour Authority, the country hosts the upcoming Nordic-Baltic Hub Event, an initiative dedicated to addressing pressing issues in the Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering (HORECA) sector.
Participating countries include Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and guest participant Poland. These countries benefit from open labour mobility, yet they also share common challenges, most notably, undeclared work and the cross-border exploitation of young workers.
This event aims to foster meaningful dialogue and collaboration among public authorities and social partners. By sharing experiences, insights, and strategic plans, the goal is to strengthen cross-border cooperation and promote fair and safe working conditions throughout the region.
