Study visit to Belgium: Risk-based targeting, data-driven enforcement, digital tools and collaboration with social partners in tackling undeclared work

The study visit to Belgium allows participants to explore the approaches and operational practices used by the Belgian authorities for tackling undeclared work, social dumping, and work-related crime while also providing a general overview on how immediate electronic declarations, a centralised social data hub and joint inspections can improve efficiency, reduce duplication and address complex fraud patterns.

The aim of this study visit is to enable participants to understand the main components of Belgium’s integrated framework for tackling undeclared and underdeclared work, including the interaction between legal obligations, institutional mandates and enforcement practice.
