Call for testers

Join ELA's volunteer tester pool

Join the volunteer tester pool!

Would you like to help improve ELA's websites, digital products, communication materials?

By joining our volunteer tester pool, you may occasionally be invited to take part in online surveys, usability tests, interviews, focus groups and other activities. Participation is entirely voluntary and you can decide, each time, whether you would like to take part.

Your feedback will help ELA develop more user-centred, accessible and effective digital services, information products, communication activities. Registering does not create any obligation to participate in future activities.

Join the volunteer tester pool

What might you be invited to contribute to?

As a member of the volunteer tester pool, you may be invited to provide feedback on:

  • Website pages and online information services
  • Digital tools, interfaces and user journeys
  • Communication materials such as leaflets, publications, campaigns and visual content
  • Surveys, consultations and information products under development
  • New ideas, concepts or prototypes before they are finalised and published

Not every opportunity will be relevant to every volunteer. Invitations are sent based on your profile, language skills and the needs of the specific project.

How does participation work?

All activities are conducted remotely.

Depending on the project, you may be invited to:

  • Complete an online questionnaire or survey
  • Carry out a simple task independently using a dedicated testing link (for example, helping us understand how information is organised and found on a website)
  • Provide written feedback through open-ended questions
  • Participate in a one-to-one online interview
  • Join a small online focus group with other participants

A basic knowledge of English may be required for some activities.

Each invitation will explain the purpose of the activity, the expected time commitment, the format and how the results will be used. You are always free to decide whether you would like to participate or prefer to skip that particular opportunity.

Why participate?

By taking part, you can:

  • Help improve information, services and digital products used across Europe
  • Ensure that communication materials and online services are more accessible, relevant and user-friendly
  • Share your perspective, experience and expertise
  • Help shape future products and services before they are launched
  • Support ELA's efforts to better understand and respond to the needs of its stakeholders

Participation is voluntary and unpaid, but your contribution can have a meaningful impact on how ELA designs and delivers its services, information and research activities.
