Getting to know ELA - a discussion with European capitals: the Baltics

Recently the Executive Director of the European Labour Authority (ELA), Cosmin Boiangiu, visited the Baltic States, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. 

During the visits, Mr Boiangiu met with Ministers, state officials and representatives of social partners e.g. trade unions. Mr Boiangiu presented ELA, its mandate, activities and priorities. National needs and expectations were discussed as well. All meetings were accompanied by the National Liaison Officers from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia seconded to ELA from their member states.   

During the visits institutions expressed their appreciation for the cooperation with ELA and the support provided by ELA e.g. in form of the translation facility, support for inspections, peer reviews and the easy access to information and cooperation via their National Liaison Officers.
