Workforce and Regional Development - The role of the European Labour Authority (ELA) and the EURES network

An event focusing on the workforce, employment and regional development in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace is being organised by the European Labour Authority (ELA) and the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. It aims to highlight the challenges faced by businesses and local labour markets, while presenting European tools and practices that can help address labour needs and boost employment. The programme presents the key findings of the EURES Report on Labour Shortages and Surpluses, highlighting the role of labour mobility across the European Union and EURES services in supporting employers and jobseekers. It also showcases how ELA, EURES and their tools contribute to addressing labour market needs and supporting employment opportunities at local, regional and European level. Participants include the Executive Director of the European Labour Authority, representatives of the Government of the Hellenic Republic, the Greek Public Employment Service, the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, local and regional administrations, and Chambers of Commerce.
