The **construction sector**, known for its large number of mobile workers in Europe, was addressed through various actions. These encompassed information activities such as an **EU-wide awareness-raising campaign**, as well as **cooperation** and **enforcement activities**, including concerted and [joint inspections](/en/glossary/joint-inspections "inspection carried out in a Member State with the participation of the national authorities of one or more other Member States, and supported, where appropriate, by the European Labour Authority staff"). These efforts were supported by a comprehensive analytical report that focused on issues related to information provision, enforcement of labour mobility laws, social security coordination regulations, and cooperation between Member States. Highlighting the results obtained, the **booklet serves as a starting point** for ELA's ongoing commitment to the construction sector.
