Joint inspections across the EU resulted in over 370 identified infringements.
Almost 500 hundred trucks and buses were checked by enforcement officers in southern Austria. The joint inspection resulted in 1451 identified offenses including multiple tachograph manipulation cases.
Nearly 300 buses inspected over two days. Many serious irregularities were found.
ELA publishes the EURES Report on labour shortages and surpluses 2023

10 cross-border inspections and 15 Member States were involved in a joint initiative coordinated and supported by ELA in the construction sector.
The European Labour Authority supported a targeted cross-border joint inspection of road passenger transport on April 13, 2023, organised by the Slovenian supervisory authorities together with the German and Croatian enforcement authorities.
This week, ELA coordinated several joint inspections with participation of authorities from EU Member States. All in all inspections took place in 8 countries. 18 EU Member states participated in the inspections.
Last week, the European Labour Authority’s (ELA) Executive Director Cosmin Boiangiu held fruitful exchanges with national authorities in Slovakia, Romania, Croatia and Slovenia. These meetings kicked-off a round of discussions during which Mr Boiangiu, who took office in December 2020, will present the Authority’s mission and vision to all EU countries.
