
Seven Member States carried out a joint action in road transport 17 – 23 February with the support of the European Labour Authority (ELA) and in partnership with the European Roads Policing Network (ROADPOL). The action focused on compliance with driving and resting time rules. Fines amounting to EUR 240 000 were imposed during the inspections.

Hundreds of trucks and buses were checked by enforcement officers in February in six Member States. In total 324 infringements were identified.

The initiative, held in Copenhagen on 15 and 16 of June, is part of ELA programme on Artificial Intelligence and algorithms in risk Assessment.

European Labour Authority (ELA) coordinated its third action week this year, between 10 - 14 October, in the road transport sector. In total 263 vehicles were checked in Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Romania and Slovakia.

This week, ELA coordinated several joint inspections with participation of authorities from EU Member States. All in all inspections took place in 8 countries. 18 EU Member states participated in the inspections.
