
ELA completed the second EU-wide cycle of training and information sessions on road transport social legislation. Nearly 1,200 enforcement officers and more than 330 representatives of drivers, operators and social partners from all EU and EEA countries took part in the 2025 programme.

The European Labour Authority (ELA) has taken a step forward in enhancing cooperation across the EU by hosting a landmark session of its IMI-PROVE Programme. For the first time, National IMI Coordinators (NIMICs), IMI users and social security institutions came together to explore better use of the Internal Market Information (IMI) system for posting of workers and social legislation in road transport.

Training focus was on roadside inspections, particularly on driving time, breaks and rest periods as well as on posting of drivers. Five sessions were held across Europe in 2024.

Hundreds of trucks and buses were checked by enforcement officers in February in six Member States. In total 324 infringements were identified.
