ELA and European Commission - DG GROW together to build the capacity of SOLVIT centres

More than 50 EU SOLVIT representatives participated in a training  on 8-9 March organised by ELA in cooperation with the European Commission (DG GROW) and the SOLVIT network. The training was about cross-sectoral understanding of EU labour mobility rules, enforcement, fair labour mobility rules in the single market  and had the aim to build the capacity of SOLVIT Centres.

The procedures for EU Member States labour mobility dispute mediation and cooperation agreement with SOLVIT now adopted

The procedure for EU Member States labour mobility dispute mediation and the cooperation agreement with SOLVIT were adopted at the latest Management Board meeting of the European Labour Authority (ELA). ELA will be in a position to launch the mediation procedure in 2022. The Rules of Procedures for mediation clarify how ELA could mediate disputes between Member States. The Cooperation Agreement between ELA and SOLVIT, on the other hand, is meant to allow better coordination between ELA and SOLVIT when it comes to case referral and the exchange of information. On 16 September 2021, the European Labour Authority (ELA) reached a new important step in its journey, namely the move to its headquarters in Bratislava, Slovakia. This milestone means that the first European Union Agency has its permanent seat in the Slovak Republic. To celebrate this occasion, ELA is inviting to an opening conference on 9 November 2021.
