Road Transport trainings: recordings available in 23 EU languages

Recordings of two workshops on road transport of passengers and a sector-specific info session are now available in many official EU languages.

The recordings of the two workshops held in 2022 on Road Transport are now available in 23 EU languages. The trainings tool place on the 5th of October and 14th of November and were organized by ELA in close cooperation with the European Commission, under ELA’s Framework for Action in Road Transport 2022.

The workshops were attended by 350 and 550 participants respectively, including labour and transport inspectors, social partners and police officers.

Videos’ contents and main topics

Both workshops aim to improve knowledge and promote common understanding of the EU legislative framework application among national authorities responsible for enforcement of road transport legislation. Except for national enforcement authorities, the videos also target road transport operators, associations and drivers themselves.

5 October 2022 – workshop on road transport of passengers

Topics discussed:

  1. posting of drivers in road transport of passengers;
  2. the report on occasional services of carriage of passengers;
  3. first observations from the Truck and Bus Weeks 2022.

14 November 2022 – road transport sector-specific training session

Main topics discussed:

  1. return of the vehicle;
  2. driving times and rest periods (weekly rest outside of the cabin);
  3. classification of serious infringements;
  4. an exchange on the use of the European Register of Road Transport Undertakings;
