EURES Italy launches informative videos on seasonal work

During the EU Week for Seasonal Workers (20−24 September), EURES Italy will promote 10 short videos with useful facts and tips for both jobseekers and employers interested in seasonal work. The videos are part of EURES Italy’s involvement in the European Labour Authority’s campaign “Rights for all seasons”.

The 10 short videos (of which five will be in English and five in Italian) will cover the following topics:

  • What is seasonal work?
  • Five good reasons to consider seasonal work.
  • What structures in Italy can help jobseekers find seasonal work?
  • How can employers find seasonal workers?
  • How can non-EU citizens find seasonal work in Italy?

The videos will be published on the Facebook pages of EURES Italy and the EURES Targeted Mobility Scheme and on the social media channels of the National Agency for Active Labour Market Policies (ANPAL).

As part of their involvement in the “Rights for all seasons” campaign, EURES Italy have been active in promoting fair and safe working conditions for seasonal workers. For example, they recently featured an informative article on the EURES newsletter about the situation of seasonal work in Italy.

EURES Italy are also working on gathering a list of vacancies for seasonal workers for the November edition of the European (Online) Job Days, or E(O)JD. The E(O)JD event will feature a “Work in Italy” stand, where EU and non-EU jobseekers can receive practical information about seasonal work in Italy.

In addition, on 26 October, EURES Italy will host a webinar with the aim to create a working group with specific knowledge and skills in the field of non-EU seasonal workers.
